A GNO with two of my favorite ladies...my sisters, Jacy and Alisa...

I'm really loving this tradition!!
And yes, my husband rocks! A few pictures of how they spent their day away from mommy...

Yep, I don't think they missed me one bit!
To top it off...I came home to a clean house, flowers, and chocolate.
Did I mention that I am LOVING this tradition!!
Thank you!

HaLLoWeen Night
To kick off Trick-or-treating, we made a special stop at the Blodgett's. The girls got such a kick out of the dogs dressed up and their special treats from Mindy! Then we were off at what I thought might last an hour, but the girls never wanted to stop! Taylor loved following her big sister around and doing just as she did. We couldn't believe she didn't just drop to the ground with all the walking. We had a blast and I just love my little fairies!!

And the after shot for this year.

A Disney Halloween

Oh yes, a magical day indeed. Our little Tinkerbell got to meet THE Tinkerbell for her very first time with her best little gal pal, Rosetta! They were adorable! Then we were off on a mission to see all the decorations all while keeping our fingers crossed for cooperative children to give us some great pictures. As you can see, the best pictures I can get of Taylor are usually from behind! We feel very lucky to live by D-Land and we especially love it during the holidays!

How Tinkerbell Came to be...
This is our first year having a child tell us what she wanted to be for Halloween. It was Arial for a long time, but it had to be "the Arial in a pink dress since I don't know how to swim". Then she received a gift...a little something called the Tinkerbell movie. Goodbye Princesses and hello Fairies. No one was sad about that! So Tinkerbell it was...but it was very important to Emma that she cut her own leaves. She said this to me several times...so after her first "fitting" with Lynn she was sent home with the bag of scraps to "help" make her costume. Lynn, you are the best! Thank you!!

Pumpkin Patch
Nothing like a last minute stop by the Pumpkin Patch!

We got a little distracted by all the picture stands, but eventually the search was on for the perfect pumpkin. Every pumpkin was THE pumpkin for Emma, so much so that before we knew it, 10 pumpkins were piled in our stroller. Taylor spent most of her time trying to lift a pumpkin, after a few meltdowns she finally did it and was off! Then it was time to help Daddy. Emma helped find the pumpkin and Taylor helped wheel it away. Or she gave it a really good try!
The final result...
...and yes, Chris did carve Edward. So sweet.

My girls!
I've had great intentions of writing some updates on these girls, but time has gotten away from me. Then I came across these photos, and if I had to picture my girls and their different personalities at this age and time, this is exactly what would come to mind. Taylor is on the move constantly (usually with that stroller in tow) barely allowing for a picture, and as independent as ever and Emma is spicy, dramatic and makes us laugh all day long!
Very different from each other, easy and hard in different ways. But both keeping me very busy and very happy!

ART
Just some samples from Em's latest collection...
It's so fun to see what she comes up with...how she perceives things. And those legs with circles on the end...I've been waiting for those!! So classic. By the way, Mickey's 3rd leg is actually his chin. Awesome.

Wild Animal Park
(this poor little buddy is almost extinct...8 of them left in the world)
We finally did it....we have been talking about getting season passes to the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park for the longest time, and we did it! Three cheers for us and it was awesome. I can just hear Chris' laugh as I write that last sentence. I do love animals but I might just start yawning and daydreaming (aka: annoyed) after an hour or so at any animal type of place. Emma and Chris could go for days and days and never get bored. I foresee many daddy daughter dates to the zoo coming up!
**For my local friends...check out the deal going on right now, I'd love some friends to go with!! And to my family, our passes included some free day passes...COME VISIT and I'll take you to the Zoo (cause now you know how much i love it!)!!

1st Day of Preschool
Well I think Mom put it best, could I have ever imagined the day Emma would be excited to go to Preschool, the same Emma that likes me within 1 foot of her at all times. But she LOVED it! And was excited for days before. The very first words she said as we walked out, "I had so much fun. I love preschool". She talked on about Miss Kristin's cat and the book, Stinky Dog and hearing about all the kid's Halloween costumes. I know it's just Preschool, but for us it feels likes a big milestone! It is amazing how fast time goes.

I have to give huge thanks to my friend Lynn who made this bow for Emma's first day. It made her feel so special! Thanks Lynn.
