This past week we decided to make a quick trip to Arizona for the Easter weekend, we had some pretty good incentive...getting to meet our newest niece and cousin, Lexi. She's precious and such a sweet beautiful girl. It was a special weekend being Emma's first Easter in Arizona and getting to spend it with almost the whole family!
Saturday night we dyed eggs, Emma had a great time with this as long as Chris wasn't stealing eggs away from her! Thanks Mom for saving a few for him to do! He's definitely a kid at heart when it comes to things like that.
After church on Sunday we had a big easter egg hunt and I was so excited to see how much Emma enjoyed this. She thought it was the greatest thing getting to fill her basket with "eggies" that were hidden all around the pool, even some in the pool! It was difficult explaining that all the eggs had been found and that it was time to go inside, then I realized that I just had to show her there was candy inside each of those eggs! Good thing she didn't realize this earlier, otherwise we would have been stopped at the first egg. It is a great tradition that I am so excited we could be a part of! After the hunt, we enjoyed a really great dinner and even added a new item to the menu...crab! It was so good!
Thanks Mom and Dad for always making our Arizona trips so fun...besides all the Easter activities, Emma got to have one of Grandma's shakes, Papa's Mickey Mouse waffles, read lots of stories, dance to the jukebox, go for a walk to the fountain, play the piano, spend some time out by the pool and on and on, all the things she has really come to look forward to. She even got to see her first scorpion which Papa sprayed with WD40 (I have since learned that it had no effect on the scorp!) but Emma loves to tell that story! It's always so hard for me to say goodbye and you can rest assure that Emma will be asking for her cousins for the next week!

um, hi, you only have a month till the next baby and you can't even tell that you're pg!! that's not fair.
I'm so glad that you guys could come down! It is always so fun to have Emma in the mix. She is a doll and will make a great big sister! I'm going to call you everyday from May 1-4 to make sure you eat spicy food, go for long walks, and, well, you know, that other thing that just might put you into labor!
ALISA!!!!!!!!!!!!
We loved having you here with your family. Its so fun to have Emma describe all the things she gets so excited about. Can't believe that next time we see you, you'll be a mother of two!
WD40 doesn't kill scorpions? I took Mom out on my last night there and she "killed" a couple of 'em. I guess maybe it's just a temporary stun.
Thanks for coming out while we were there!
35 days left!!!!! Yeah! I can't wait. You look so great in all your pictures. We sure miss Emma around here so make sure to send her our way when you need a little break!!!!
Lots of Love!
We had so much fun with you guys. Emma is getting so comfortable with us. I love that little lady! Jasmyn will never forget her nanny job with Emma. She talks about it all the time. Thanks again.
I cannot WAIT to have kids. I am so jealous of all the fun you get to have with that amazing little girl.
