1st Week

It was a great first week, a difficult day today having to say goodbye to my parents...nothing I ever like to do. Thank you, thank you, thank you Mom!! I don't know what I would have done without you and it was so fun to have Dad join the party on Thursday! Thank you for all the food, cleaning and especially for all the special attention you both gave to Emma! She was lovin' it!!
Taylor is doing great...gaining weight, giving me 4 to 5 hours of sleep each night, working on building up some pretty strong lungs...we are just loving her and think she's getting cuter each day!
So the big question, how is Emma doing with all this...these are some moments of hope I hold on to...

At dinner a few nights ago, Emma said the prayer and it was so sweet..."Father, thank you...food...baby sister...amen"

And then there are other moments which aren't as promising...

I think this picture speaks volumes!!

I love my girls so much, I just could not imagine life without them.

Oh my, she is cute. Seriously...like of course I have to say that, but I actually really mean it. She is a very good looking baby. I love her fuzzy dark hair. I also really like Chris' hair, and Emma's face in that second to last picture. She looks confused and slightly irritated..

...and she will always hold a special place in my heart because she was born on the happiest weekend of my life!

Who are those old people with your babies...oh my!!!

I had so much fun staying with you. I feel like I did a lot more play than work. I got home feeling like I should have done more to help make things easier for you this coming week.

Emma and Taylor are both absolutely darling...what a cute family.

Congratulations! Taylor is beautiful. I can't believe how little she looks compared to Lexi now. Enjoy every minute because time is going to fly by and before you know it she'll be 4 months old. I can't wait to see her in Bainbridge. Get some rest.
