Emma's Birthday Party

My baby is turning 3 in 2 days. It's hard to believe. I love this little girl so much, I really truly just want to freeze time. But instead we shall celebrate! So to kick off the celebrations, we had some little friends over for a Minnie Mouse Birthday Party. This is the first party I've thrown for Emma, and we really had a fun time.
Trying to find Minnie!  Playing Hide and Seek with  Minnie and Friends...
Lunch and balloon animals...I'm sure Chris will love these photos of him, but it was so super cute, the kids loved it, he loved it and I just think he's the best dad!
Next up...presents! Thank goodness. I don't think we could have held her off any longer.  And she did not let us down with her dramatic antics but my absolute favorite was when she asked for "patience please" when the kids gathered all around her.   A big thank you for all the gifts, they are all her favorite toys! Thanks!
Pin the Nose on Minnie. Some chose to wear the eye mask, some chose not to. Made for an interesting game!
Be amazed. Just kidding. I am pretty proud of this cake. It's the first cake I've done all by myself, from start to finish.  And I really had a fun time doing it.
Then it was the kids turn at it. Minnie Mouse cupcakes...
We ended the party outside chasing bubbles and running off all the consumed sugar!  Thank you to all our little friends who helped us celebrate...you really helped to make Emma feel special!

You did a GREAT job on the cake! I'm SO impressed! Good ideas for the party too. Too bad we don't have any Minnie lovers here ... I'd have to copy! ;)

AHHHH that is the cutest party ever! I will be so sad if I have a boy first. Does Chris do balloon animals?!

Patience please? Where does she get that stuff from? I love it.

Gosh, Bree...where does Emma get that stuff? Is that a rhetorical question???

Megan, why are you letting your daughter run around like a hussy? Pull up her skirt!

Great job Meg! You are such a cute mom. I remember when I actually put forth some effort into my kids birthdays. I am quite impressed by that cake too!

Love the picture of Emma chasing the bubbles with her skirt falling down her legs! She's so darn cute!

What a great party! I'm totally impressed by both parents skills. Carmen's 4th birthday is going to be at the end of this month and she wants a fairy luau...any ideas?
