Our first little nanny!

Last week we had a very special visitor, my niece, Jasmyn. I've been excited for the time when my nieces and nephews would be old enough to come visit, I just adore all of them so much and love any extra time I get with them. We had fun playing at the park, renting movies, visiting the Spectrum...we even had a special girls night, just her and I out at the movies. Emma thought it was the greatest thing that has ever happened...she had a cousin all to herself and was loving getting to show off and copy everything she did and Jazzy was a great help to me taking care of Emma. We love you Jasmyn and of course you are always welcome back!!

Happy Easter!

This past week we decided to make a quick trip to Arizona for the Easter weekend, we had some pretty good incentive...getting to meet our newest niece and cousin, Lexi. She's precious and such a sweet beautiful girl. It was a special weekend being Emma's first Easter in Arizona and getting to spend it with almost the whole family!

Saturday night we dyed eggs, Emma had a great time with this as long as Chris wasn't stealing eggs away from her! Thanks Mom for saving a few for him to do! He's definitely a kid at heart when it comes to things like that.

After church on Sunday we had a big easter egg hunt and I was so excited to see how much Emma enjoyed this. She thought it was the greatest thing getting to fill her basket with "eggies" that were hidden all around the pool, even some in the pool! It was difficult explaining that all the eggs had been found and that it was time to go inside, then I realized that I just had to show her there was candy inside each of those eggs! Good thing she didn't realize this earlier, otherwise we would have been stopped at the first egg. It is a great tradition that I am so excited we could be a part of! After the hunt, we enjoyed a really great dinner and even added a new item to the menu...crab! It was so good!

Thanks Mom and Dad for always making our Arizona trips so fun...besides all the Easter activities, Emma got to have one of Grandma's shakes, Papa's Mickey Mouse waffles, read lots of stories, dance to the jukebox, go for a walk to the fountain, play the piano, spend some time out by the pool and on and on, all the things she has really come to look forward to. She even got to see her first scorpion which Papa sprayed with WD40 (I have since learned that it had no effect on the scorp!) but Emma loves to tell that story! It's always so hard for me to say goodbye and you can rest assure that Emma will be asking for her cousins for the next week!
