Sweet moments

Sad.
So without needing much explanation, we are trying to soak up as much time with my parents and time in Arizona.  The girls and I drove out with my Mom early in the week and Chris met us on Friday for the weekend.  As always, we had a great time...lots of sweet moments.
I even got in a girls night at Twilight and a group date night at Bobby-Q with my sisters and hubbies!  And embarrassing to mention but must go down in the journal...someone other than Chris or I put Emma to bed for the first time in her 3 years of life! If you're a new mom, don't make this mistake!!

We are really going to miss these Arizona trips!

A Dog for a Day

Emma's birthday just kept getting better...

Grandma showed up and she wasn't alone!  This was the best dog you could ever imagine!! Never barked or chewed, super gentle and to top it all off, never peed or pooped! Best dog ever.  It's so sad that none of us could keep this little stray puppy but we know Aunt Chris found her a good home. Daisy, Lucy, Little Fellow...we miss you, we really really do!

Birthday Breakfast with Ariel and Friends...

This is a must for anyone with a little girl...PRICELESS!! Emma has had a fascination with The Little Mermaid for the past few months making this all the better. As we came down the circular staircase, there she was in all her greatness!
Then it was on to breakfast, which (fyi) should not be the reason for going. But with this face each time a Princess appeared...trust me, no one was thinking about the food!
Boobylicious Belle is what we called her.  She was there for the daddies.  Thank goodness, Cinderella came to save the day!  Emma had a lot to say to Cinderella...and lucky so, because when the trumpeter called for the Royal Court, Emma was right in place to learn the proper etiquette and dance from Cinderella.  Emma cheered for her as she curtsied and twirled and then gave it a try herself.
After filling our tummies, it seemed appropriate to hit the Teacups.  Tay and I passed but Chris and Emma had a great time. We also checked out Small World, which has been updated for all the better, definitely not to be missed.  It was a great morning and wonderful way to celebrate our sassy sweet 3 year old!

Emma's Birthday Party

My baby is turning 3 in 2 days. It's hard to believe. I love this little girl so much, I really truly just want to freeze time. But instead we shall celebrate! So to kick off the celebrations, we had some little friends over for a Minnie Mouse Birthday Party. This is the first party I've thrown for Emma, and we really had a fun time.
Trying to find Minnie!  Playing Hide and Seek with  Minnie and Friends...
Lunch and balloon animals...I'm sure Chris will love these photos of him, but it was so super cute, the kids loved it, he loved it and I just think he's the best dad!
Next up...presents! Thank goodness. I don't think we could have held her off any longer.  And she did not let us down with her dramatic antics but my absolute favorite was when she asked for "patience please" when the kids gathered all around her.   A big thank you for all the gifts, they are all her favorite toys! Thanks!
Pin the Nose on Minnie. Some chose to wear the eye mask, some chose not to. Made for an interesting game!
Be amazed. Just kidding. I am pretty proud of this cake. It's the first cake I've done all by myself, from start to finish.  And I really had a fun time doing it.
Then it was the kids turn at it. Minnie Mouse cupcakes...
We ended the party outside chasing bubbles and running off all the consumed sugar!  Thank you to all our little friends who helped us celebrate...you really helped to make Emma feel special!
