Everything Fancy

If you have a little girl, the Fancy Nancy books are a MUST HAVE!! Love, love love them!! The stories are adorable and the illustrations really make the words come to life. And I can't help but do the best southern belle accent whenever I read them. Although beware: you're daughter might become a little more sassy with each and every reading! So you can imagine how excited we were when Emma's best little girlfriend invited her over for a Fancy Nancy Tea Party last month. Award for cutest idea ever goes to Janae. Everything was exquisite (that's even fancier than fancy!)! Below was Emma's get-up and her response to "smile"...she definitely has Fancy Nancy down!

Today the girls and I moved our dance party to my bed. I highly recommend this, there is something so free and liberating about it. Afterwards, we had a little photo session (all Em's idea, of course!! we've found some pretty interesting photos and videos of her on our computer!).
Another one of those moments where I am reminded how lucky I am to be home with them everyday!

One of my favorite things to do is watch Wade Robson dance. It's an experience that always leaves me in awe and usually completely freaking out. Last night on the 100th episode of SYTYCD, Wade joined past cast members in a piece he created on the 2nd season, RAMALAMA. Watching this brought me back to the days of being his student. He loved being in class and dancing amongst us. He wanted us to succeed and truly get it, he motivated and brought an energy you can't even imagine. You never wanted that hour to end because for that hour, you were someone else on some other universe with no other worries. His choreography and dancing will never be matched. And how much did I love seeing his trademark thumb to lip move?! So much!!

P.s. This season has been amazing. Two favorite pieces ...Gravity by Mia Michaels, and This Woman's Work by Tyce DiOrio. Both are must see, over and over and over again.
P.s.s. Speaking of television shows, Is everyone laughing as hard as I am on Monday Bachelorette nights?? Tanner toes?

Roy Eugene Adcock
1932-2009

"I've lived one hell of a life"

These were the words my father-in-law spoke to the paramedics as he sat down on the gurney, we lost Roy a short week and a half later. He was a genuine and giving husband, father, brother and friend. One of the most generous people I have ever met. He was full of life, lived it to it's fullest and truly had no regrets. People came in from all over the country to give their condolences and shared stories of how Roy changed their lives even if it was just in a few short months of working with him. He is loved and will be greatly missed.

Roy loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He adored our girls, he was so proud of them. He'd tell of the funny or cute things they would do to anyone who would listen. We will cherish the moments he had with them and the girls will know of the great and wonderful Papa they have.
