I did it!! Disneyland with 2 kids and no husband!  I was a little nervous wondering how I would manage a baby and a toddler but it turned out to be much easier than I anticipated and we had a blast!  Emma was just excited to be back and Taylor was a trooper.  But I couldn't have done it without the Bjorn and I don't know if I would have done it without my good friend, Elise!

The Pooh ride is always a favorite and always one that we hit up at least twice. These two have the sweetest little friendship and it's always fun watching them interact.  We are so happy they decided to get season passes...everything is just a little more fun with her buddy!

This was the highlight of the day for me...the Ladybug Boogie.  What in the world were they thinking...I never thought they'd be as crazy as the teacups...but just a little warning: they are!! So as I was trying to stay composed  and not lose it, I completely forgot about Emma.  I opened my eyes to find her cracking up as she was holding on for dear life.  She thought it was the best thing ever.

I can honestly say, I can't wait to go back next week!

I'm flying...

to Arizona for the "So You Think You Can Dance" tour with my sisters!!  Our seats are on the 8th row, center stage and it's sponsored by Snuggle (should have posted the pic of the bear).

Thank you Chris!!  What a perfect gift...no kids, lots of good dancing, and time with my sisters! Can't wait!

P.S. For you non-SYTYCD fans, the hot tamales represent Mary Murphey's "Hot Tamale Train"! Whooooaaaa!!!

So Brett...were you proven right?

Help me!!

Last week Chris told me there would be a surprise coming my way and then he handed me "Clue #1"....a cactus??  What?  If you know me, surprises drive me crazy which is why he loves to do this to me!  For our very first date almost exactly 6 years ago he did this same thing...he gave me clues throughout the week (some very obvious and it still went over my head!) and we ended up at the musical, Lion King.  Anyways, here are all the clues I've received...any ideas?

Our little performer

Emma put on a show for me today...she sang these songs over and over and over again! And when Chris got home, she started a whole new show. I'm not complaining, there are not many things I enjoy more than her singing and I'm happy I was finally able to capture it on camera!

P.S. Ignore that she's in just a pajama top and her diaper...we're moving a little slow these days!

I'll never forget...

this moment!!

I had just gotten out of the shower this morning and as usual I was a little nervous at what might have happened in the house or I should say to the house but instead this is what I found. Emma had moved the chair over to the swing, grabbed a book and was "telling a story" to Taylor.  It was such a sweet moment.  I love these girls.

Pool

Emma has been so against the pool this summer. After our first visit to the pool a few months ago, I was so excited (as I believe I even mentioned in my blog) thinking we would live at the pool this Summer. But nope, sadly we've missed many fun pool and lagoon days with friends because this little 2 year old would rather take a nap, which she did one morning, before getting on her bathing suit! So you can imagine my excitement when last Friday afternoon she said, "YES", when I asked if she wanted to go swimming. And she loved it and promised to never turn down a pool offer again. She kept to that promise and we went as a family on Saturday. We had a great time...of course everything is better when daddy is there! They had a blast in the big pool together and she even dunked her head for the first time. The actual first time was an accident and I thought, great!! there goes the pool! But eventually she got over the initial scare of it and started to become more and more daring! Hopefully we can keep this up!
